AccuVein Vein Finder Has Us Seeing Red and No Blue!

At Melinda Menezes, MD many of our patients love the wrinkle reducing, lip plumping and youthful glow-inducing benefits of injectable treatments like Botox®, Dysport®, Juvederm® and Restylane® because they are quick, non-invasive procedures with little to no downtime.

Doctor Menezes has been performing aesthetic injections for nearly a decade and has the training, touch and artistic eye to ensure your treatment results in a refreshed and natural appearance that never looks fake or frozen. However, the system of veins and blood vessels in the face is quite complex and compact which means that some patients can experience bruising after treatments have been injected.

Last month we added the AccuVein Vein Finder to the arsenal of state-of-the-art technology available at Melinda Menezes, MD and it has our staff and patients seeing red instead of blue! This advanced vein illumination technology allows Dr. Menezes to see beneath the surface of the skin before any injections are made. Vein structure and placement in the face varies slightly from patient to patient and the AccuVein finder allows Dr. Menezes to see your unique map of blood vessels beneath the skin and gently place injections exactly where they need to be and keep bruising to a minimum.

How Does AccuVein Work?

AccuVein is a vein illumination tool that uses infrared light to display a map of your veins and blood vessels on the surface of your skin. Dr. Menezes will hold the AccuVein device over the treatment area and the hemoglobin in your blood will absorb the infrared light and make them visible.

I Don’t Bruise Easily, Should I Still Use AccuVein?

Absolutely! AccuVein works on any patient and is a completely painless way to make your next injectable treatment quicker and more comfortable.
