Why Choose Dr. Menezes?

Dr. Menezes has extensive experience in providing wrinkle relaxing treatment with Botox and Dysport. As a licensed medical doctor and recognized as an Allergan Master Injector, Dr. Menezes has treated thousands of patients and continues to invest in education and training to bring the best product and technique to Kauai. Beware of bargain Botox and unlicensed injectors. Invest in treatment with a medical professional for safe, long-lasting and satisfying results. Nothing is worse, or more costly, than having to undo a poor injection that causes surprised eye brows, drooped eye lids or even worse a frozen face.

How it works

BOTOX Cosmetic and Dysport are neuromodulators that block the nerve signals that make muscles contract.  Relaxed muscles allow the skin above to smooth out. Effects last 3-4 months. The longer you use BOTOX Cosmetic or Dysport, the better your results.

What to expect

BOTOX Cosmetic and Dysport injections are nonsurgical cosmetic treatments to safely relax the muscles that create wrinkles. Although there is little down time, there are several health and safety precautions patients need to take to reduce bruising and swelling. Patients should discontinue the following medications seven (7) days prior to the injection appointment.

  • Aspirin*
  • Ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin, Aleve)
  • St. Johns Wort
  • Omega 3 fatty acids (fish oil supplement)
  • Vitamin E
  • Ginger
  • Ginko Biloba
  • Ginseng
*If you have been prescribed an Aspirin regimen by your physician, do not discontinue.

BOTOX Cosmetic and Dysport are injectable treatments and some side effects may occur. The intensity and duration of side effects depends on the aggressiveness of the treatment and your individual healing characteristics. Some patients may experience stinging, swelling or tenderness at the injection site. Any stinging should subside within 10 to 15 minutes of the injection, and swelling and tenderness should subside within a few days. Some patients may also experience some redness around the injection site. It is safe to wear makeup immediately after treatment if you need to reduce redness.
