I’m Melinda Menezes, MD

For more than 15 years, practicing Aesthetic Medicine has been my way of sharing loving kindness with my patients and community. When you look and feel like yourself and your mind, body, and spirit are in harmony, you are at your best to share love and light with the world. My  Aesthetic Medicine clinic was designed for everyone and not limited by age, gender or skin tone. All are welcome to rest, rejuvenate, and shine here.

Education & Training

I received my Doctorate in Medicine from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine and was a Diplomate in Good Standing with the American Board of Family Physicians for more than 15 years. After completing residency and tenure as Chief Resident at the University of Missouri-Columbia, I relocated to Kauai and began practicing Family Medicine in Kilauea. I was fortunate to be one of the first physicians in Hawaii to be trained to inject neurotoxin and filler. For more than a decade and a half, I  practiced primary care medicine and developed my Aesthetic medicine skills.  Over time, I was able to curate the products and procedures that were of most service to my unique Aesthetic patient base. In 2015 I closed my Family Medicine practice to open my Aesthetic Medicine clinic.  I designed my new clinic space in Lihue for the comfort and safety of my patients and to practice state of the art  Aesthetic Medicine full time.

Today, I am a licensed Medical Doctor and one of the most experienced Aesthetic practitioners in Hawaii. I have been performing facial rejuvenation and volume restoration with JUVEDERM® injections since 2006 and am recognized by Allergan as a master injector. I am always on the lookout for new technology, procedures, and treatments that align with my values as a provider and deliver exceptional results.

When I am not in the clinic, I enjoy spending time with my two sons, cooking, gardening/tropical landscape management, hiking with my dogs and friends and writing about the things that heal my heart. I believe that spiritual and mental health is foundational to total health, and enjoy sharing things I have learned from meditation, books, and spiritual practices throughout my life.

Meet our team

Angela Hunadi, RN

Angela graduated from nursing school in 2001 and relocated to Kauai in 2007. She has spent much of her nursing career caring for women, specializing in labor and delivery, postpartum, and special care nursery nursing.

During the height of the pandemic, Angela managed a team of 20 nurses conducting COVID-19 testing and played an instrumental role in helping open an urgent care clinic. 

While her passion for nursing runs deep, she is excited to now be working in aesthetic medicine, where she continues to learn new skills while enjoying “normal” hours for the first time in her career.

Outside of work, Angela enjoys spending time with family and friends, supporting her husband in California, relaxing at the beach, and jogging.

Donna Pimental, RN

Raised on Kauai’s westside, Donna is a Registered Nurse who has dedicated nearly four decades to elevating the health and well-being of her community. She has an extensive background in diverse medical fields, ranging from acute care to women’s health, and has shared her deep clinical expertise with the team and patients at Melinda Menezes, MD since 2019.

A self-proclaimed science nerd and “glow-up fairy” certified in HydraFacial and laser energy devices, Donna finds her greatest joy in helping people.  She is also passionate about cutting-edge research and developments in holistic health and Aesthetic Medicine, and specializes in custom skincare analysis and Kibbe Body Type and Color Theory consultations that help patients look and feel their best.

When she isn’t helping others reach their personal goals, Donna can be found spending quality time with beloved friends and family, farming, traveling, or trying to keep up with her spontaneous husband, fearless daughter, and crew of livestock, adopted and rescue animals.

Tracy

Tracy grew up on Kauai, where family and relationships have always been an important part of her life. She worked for more than 30 years at a locally owned finance company, developing strong customer relations skills and learning the importance of treating every customer with patience, kindness, and respect.

Since joining the team at Melinda Menezes, MD, Tracy has learned so much about aesthetic medical treatments and how to make healthier choices for her skin and overall well-being. While she may not have many hobbies, she truly cherishes spending time with her family, who mean everything to her.

Malia

A born-and-raised Native Hawaiian, Malia takes pride in balancing being a local businesswoman and a doting mom. After attending business college on O’ahu, she gained extensive experience in management, finance, marketing, guest relations, and the beauty industry. She and her husband own and run their own successful local company on Kaua’i, which they launched in 2023.

When not working, she enjoys spending time with her two children, fishing, reading, baking, and trying new beauty techniques. Malia has been a patient of Dr. Menezes since 2018 and is thrilled to now be part of the clinic staff.

The clinic is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
